C Chitanya kumar - Profile Of Classical Musicians

Master C. Chaitanya Kumar is a rising star in the firmament of Indian Classical Music. He received initial guidance from his revered gurus Vidwan Prapancham Balachander and Vidwan L.V. Mukund.

He also got Vocal training from Vidhushi Mrs. Radha Vijayaraghavan. He is at present receiving his advanced training from Padmashree Dr. N. Ramani of Chennai and Ganakalashree Vidhushi T.S. Satyavathi of Bangalore.

Awards & Titles

• Adjudged as the Best Main Artist in SPIRIT OF YOUTH, THE MADRAS MUSIC ACADEMY,MADRAS on January 1,2004.

• Adjudged as the Best Main Artist in Ganakala Parishath in Musicians 33rd Conference Oct. 2002 at Gayana Samaja, Bangalore.

• Won Karnataka State Government award “KISHORA PRATHIBA” for 2002.

• ‘B’ Grade Artist of AIR Bangalore for getting 1st Prize in AIR Competition 2001.

• First Rank Holder in Flute Carnatic Music Junior- 1997 conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board for which he was awarded Gold Medal by GURUKESHAVA SUBBANNA MEMORIAL TRUST.

• Flute Mali Endowment award in the talent promotion concerts of 42nd Gokulastami Sangeetha Utsav - 1998 at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai. The award was presented by Ex.Election Commissioner - Sri T.N. Seshan.

• Conferred the title "VENUGAANA PRAVEENA" at 145th Year Sadguru Sri Thyagaraja Utsavam' 2001, Bangalore, as Mrs. Meena Nagarajan (USA) Memorial award for young talented artists.

• Won first prize in All India Radio music competition of Flute Instrumental category and has been placed in 'B' Grade by A.I.R - Prasara Bharathi, Bangalore.
