M. M. Keeravani is a famous music composer who worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam film industry. He is also a singer and has given huge hit films in Telugu like Annamayya.
He has composed music for some Hindi films such as Is Raat Ki Subh Nahin, Sur: The Melody of Life, Saaya, Jism, Criminal, Zakhm, Rog and Paheli. Some of his landmark films are Neelagiri, Soorya Manasam, and Devaraagam. He is known in Tamil industry as Maragadha Mani.
He married Srivalli. He has two younger brothers Kalyan Malik and S. S. Kanchi. His cousin S. S. Rajamouli is a Tollywood director and M. M. Sreelekha is a music director. In 1998, he got National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the film Annamayya, in 2010 he got Nandi Award for Best Playback Singer for the film Maryada Ramanna, in 2009 he received Nandi Award for Best Music Director for Vengamamba, in 2005 Nandi Award for Best Music Director for Chatrapathi, in 2002 he got Nandi Award for Best Music Director for Okato Number Kurradu, in 2001 he received Nandi Award for Best Playback Singer for Student No 1, in 1995 Nandi Award for Best Music Director for Pelli Sandhadi, 1993 Nandi Award for Best Music Director for Allari Priyudu and in Nandi Award for Best Music Director for Rajeswari Kalyanam.
Some of his contributions in Telugu are Badhrinaadh, Anaganaga O Dheerudu, Maryada Ramanna, Young India, Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, Sangamam, Magadheera, Simhadri, Chatrapati, Vikramarkudu, Amma Cheppindi, Khatamak, Naa Autograph, etc.
His Tamil films include Kondattam, Hero, Kadal Pura, Jathimalli, Sevagan, Sivantha Malar, Vaaname Yellai, Paattondru Ketten, Azhagan, Nee PAthi Naan Pathi, etc. Some of his Kannada films are Aleemayya, Swati, Appaji, Samrat, Jameendaaru, and his Malayalam films are Deveraagam, Soorya Manasam, and Neelagiri, and his Hindi films include Dhokha, Kasak, Paheli, Rog, Saaya, Jism, Sur: The Melody of Life, Zakhm, Criminal, etc.
